Re: Website
So spend the day going back and forth with Dreamhost tech support. Long story short, they couldn't find any reason for a slowdown. One of the local guys tried the site and showed me it was coming up good for them.
In the end, I restarted my home Rogers network, and the speed seemed to go back to normal. Not sure if this was a coincidence, since other websites had no speed problems, but maybe it's worth a try. Just unplug the router and wifi for about 30-40 seconds.

Re: Website
I actually tried that even before your post.
No difference rebooting or shutting OFF and powering back ON.
At one point connecting through a VPN it was back to normal but now is also slow.

Re: Website
It’s strange as most of the time it takes around 20 seconds for a page to load, but occasionally it’s instantaneous. There’s a ghost in this machine right now.
Re: Website
For me, the site has blazing fast for the past week or so. It's been amazing. Previously it would always take a few seconds for every page load.
Re: Website
Yes, any chance they are on different networks? I found on my phone yesterday that the phone's G5 (Rogers) was slow, while PC Wifi (Rogers) was fast.K-popped wrote: Sun 12-Apr-2026 12:32 pm For me it’s consistently painfully slow on my ipad, but very fast on my PC.
At the moment, I've turned off the CDN/Cloudflare, and speed seems fine. So, considering the site is now coming straight from the source, it's weirder.

Both are on the same network. Even with Clouflare turned off this site is still very slow on the iPad.blueman wrote: Sun 12-Apr-2026 12:38 pm

Re: Website
Thanks for that. There's definitely something with the network. I was trying it out on my phone's G5 (Rogers) this evening, and it was crawling along. Then I switched to the coffee shop's guest WiFi, and the speed went way up. So the problem isn't the phone, at least in my area, it's something with Rogers.K-popped wrote: Sun 12-Apr-2026 10:24 pm ...

Re: Website
See it's weird. I'm with Telus for cell and internet.
Cell data everything is fine. Wifi it's painful to access. Bad enough I usually wouldn't even bother. Good thing I can turn off the wifi.
This site is the only one I have issues with.

Re: Website
Yes it's really weird. That's mine too, this site I notice has speed issues. I'm on it now, wifi on phone is fine, desktop on same wifi is crawling (opposite of this evening ) and according to the site stats theres about 45 users online too. I've asked a few other users, some having issues, others none. I'll let the hosting company know, but from what they're seeing, everything is fine from their end.
