I had the same conversation with the nurse at a clinic, they don't suspect you are talking about escorts they are just referring to your average woman so they are making comments based on that scenario, escorts, on the other hand, are getting pounded day in and day out they have a massive propensity for tears lesions bleeding, etc so the risk with them ( escorts ) is exponentially greater based on a multitude of factors not the least of which is all their sexual partners are massively higher risk than your average joe cruising the pubs hoping to get lucky.bbseeker wrote: ↑Thu 05-Jan-2017 8:21 pm I had an anonymous HIV test done at the Health Clinic and thankfully it was negative.
The worker there told me that chances of a male contracting HIV from a female even if she has HIV is extremely low. I think he said 1 in a million or something like that. So this really put my mind at ease as I don't bang males.
So with this in mind, you won't need PrEP IMO.
Prep is was thirty bucks a pill in Canada pre-2017, there are generic options now that the patent has expired and the cost is way less, as well some people qualify for subsidies. Regardless I think the cost is roughly that of an incall now for the generic stuff I am going to be taking a trip downtown to one of the dispensaries that can provide you with it but the pharmacist has to speak with you first. I spoke with someone on the phone yesterday regarding cost and that's what I was told so when I find out more I will post the info here.rawdogger88 wrote: ↑Tue 24-May-2016 11:07 pm Nevermind, I just checked the prices and it's like 30 bucks a pill. Definitely not worth it.
I've just been a bit worried since I found out that foreskin makes you more susceptible to getting HIV.
I go in assuming that every provider offering BBFS has HIV (most probably don't though). Even if it's 1/1000 chance of contracting, that's still not putting my mind to ease.
