Just Ranting - Deposits

Just fucking ranting here
I have seen this issue before and it is occurring with greater frequency and it just pisses me off to no end.
I texted with this woman from LL. Extremely attractive. A little older. Not verified but no picture hits either. Price was reasonable. No bbfs.
Ok. What the fuck. Stunning enough that no bb didn't even bother me. Completely and totally my type. Let's go for it! Ya. " I need a deposit to book" FFS!!!
What's with this deposit shit? I see it more and more and more all the time! Are there really that many scams going on or are the girls really wanting
money up front to discourage no shows? I get it! No shows are a piss off. And so is ghosting! It goes both ways! Is it the girls scamming or is there a network of degenerates over in India? I refuse to do deposits even though there was a couple girls that I really wanted to see. Is there anybody that actually falls for that shit? Modern man is just one step ahead of neanderthal but do women / degenerates / crime syndicate actually think we're stupid enough to fall for that shit? Like Fuck Off!
I had texted a girl recently that I had seen before but not for about a year. Very cute. Enthusiastic. She even wanted me to take a picture of the creampie. We had a great time but she was very far away and thus I haven't seen her since that one time. I texted and she remembered who I was.
Truthfully or not , I will never know. Anyhow, ya she wanted a deposit before she would see me. No deposit the first time and since she remembered me I figured I would be good. Nope. No deposit no see.
I move on. No skin off my nose but it is really starting to get annoying.
Rant over and out.

Been seeing this deposit thing a bit more too. While you can understand the idea behind it, it just makes no sense to send money to someone you've never met. Hopefully, the honest ones just give up on it.
From a scammer's point of view, for the cost of a LeoList ad, how many people does it take to recoup their money? I'm guessing with some good pictures they can make their money back and turn a profit with less than 3-4 scams.
On the other hand, guys who don't plan to show up should at least take a second or two to text "Sorry, can't make it" so the ladies can fill their dance card for the day.

Agreed 100%
I just don't get why people , escorts and johns , can't be straight up and honest. I get it. We're just dollar signs to them and they're cum dumps to us.
No one cares about anyone else.
Girls - just use your own real pictures , don't put up fake ads , don't ask for deposits and be real in your pricing. 500/ hr ain't gonna find you very many suitors
Guys - be respectful when you reply , text when you can't make it or get cold feet or are going to be late, and don't try to lowball. If you don't like the price just move on. There HAS to be more girls than johns. There's got to be even more Asian ads then there are johns. Move on to the next.
If either side just showed more respect to the other maybe we would ALL get more of what we want.

I work in fintech. Every time I see girls asking for deposits, I go through this sequence of thoughts:
1. SPs + pooners badly need some sort of mutually-trustworthy neutral-third-party escrow service, where the SP can verify that the pooner has put real money "at stake" in the transaction, but where the SP can't just take that money and run;
2. but not the usual kind of escrow where either the parties agree or there's arbitration where evidence must be presented to prove fault (because, what evidence? if anything did happen, it was a cash transaction behind closed doors + no cameras);
2.a. instead, it'd just be assumed that the SP is right and the pooner is wrong; so SPs can trust that they can easily get money from pooners who don't show up / pay less than promised — but only after a 7-day lock-up period for any awarded funds;
2.b. and SPs would be KYCed (verified as real people by IDing them; only allowed one sign-up per real person) and can be flagged by pooners + banned from the service if they turn out to just be scamming (because, unlike a pooner failing to show and/or pay, SP "taking money and then never actually meeting" scams can be verified by escrow-service employees running a simple text-message sting on the SP, using fake escrow); where when a scammer is banned, any funds "awarded" to them but still under the 7-day lock-up, would be moved back to the pooners they came from;
3. sadly, such a service will never be allowed on top of regular payment rails, given payment processors' hate of sex work;
4. so the first person to figure out a way around that (something something crypto?) will probably become a billionaire.
(Technically, such an escrow service could be used for all sorts of service-provider appointments, not just sex work; and that's probably how it'd be marketed.)

Definitely some interesting points here. I agree; whoever solves this problem is going to be rich. I think the biggest obvious hitch is sex work is not even legal in most jurisdictions where such a system might be used, and I think the "other uses" you mentioned would quickly put this broker in the money-laundering category of with law enforcement.
In Canada, we've seen the government is quite willing to go after cryptocurrency accounts if they feel the need to, whether it's a trucker ruckus or maybe fear of human trafficking in this case.
You can also bet this platform would have a bullseye from the usual morality-police hackers- just ask AshleyMadison or GiveSendGo. So whoever does this has to have a way of verifying people (KYC) are who they say they are yet also isn't going to expose people if/when it gets either hacked or is ordered to provide its records to authorities.
I think the biggest issue is the problem being solved is how to make secure sales of goods (for lack of a better word) without involving the courts or any state-backed enforcement of contracts. At least in the West, few businesses fit in the category and are legal. If going after this, I'd suggest looking to solve a larger problem that can be applied to this problem rather than start with this niche.
